  1. About ICC Profiles
  2.  
  3. Painter 5.0 provides Output Preview capabilities
  4. through the use of the Kodak Color Management System.
  5. This system allows you to select device profiles (ICC
  6. profiles) for the scanners, monitors and printers you
  7. use most often. 
  8.  
  9. When installing Painter 5, the Typical installation
  10. option automatically installs a basic collection of
  11. profile. 
  12.  
  13. To add additional profiles to your system, copy them
  14. from this folder to your color directory (typically
  15. windows\system\color or winnt\system32\color). You can
  16. also use the Painter 5 installer. Perform a Custom
  17. Install. 
  18.  
  19. Because these profiles are created by Kodak and might
  20. be updated in the future, you should not rename them.
  21. The following list provides a better description than
  22. the file name permits.
